Imagine walking through a garden lite only by moonlight. You come across a large plant whose graceful green arms range across a nearby fence. Sensing before seeing, gentle vibrations, large pendulous buds slowly unfurl before your very eyes. Gently large silken gossamer white petals unfurl to reveal their golden heart. And then before any hint of dawn, they close and complete their purpose this lifetime. It’s an incredibly moving experience. My heart was on my tongue whilst I created this work as I could not bare to do the Queen an injustice. I hope you enjoy this painting and yes I am a romantic – life is too short not to be so.
